How Does the Agricultural LDPE Film Recycling Process Work?
Agricultural LDPE film presents unique recycling challenges due to extremely high contamination levels. The typical film contains large quantities of sand, mud, straw, and organic residue from field use. The WANROOETECH LDPE film recycling line addresses these challenges through a carefully designed multi-stage process:

Collection & Pre-Treatment Stage Waste LDPE film is collected in large rolls and bales. The material first passes through a plate chain conveyor belt to the bale opener, where initial sand removal occurs. A trommel screen further separates loose sand and soil. The pre-shredder then cuts the material into 50-150mm pieces, with another trommel stage removing additional sand. This pre-treatment is critical because high sand content significantly shortens crusher tool life and degrades washing quality.

Intensive Desanding Stage The shredded film enters two sequential desanding machines. The first desanding machine (screen aperture 12-15mm) removes the majority of remaining sand and soil, with water injection to enhance separation. The second desanding machine provides final fine sand removal, ensuring the material entering the washing stage has minimal abrasive contamination.

Washing & Cleaning Stage The desanded LDPE film enters a wet crusher for fine crushing with water injection, which provides simultaneous pre-washing. The crusher bottom is equipped with a figure washing machine that shakes out sand and dirty water from the material. The crushed film then enters a powerful friction washing machine specifically designed by WANROOETECH for film sand removal and cleaning. This machine operates with full water immersion for maximum contamination removal. Finally, the cleaned film enters a sink float separation tank for rinsing, where remaining light contaminants are separated from the plastic.

Dewatering & Drying Stage The rinsed film is conveyed to an extruder or screw press for mechanical dewatering, removing the majority of water content before thermal drying or direct pelletizing.

Final Processing Stage Depending on the customer’s requirements, the dried clean LDPE film can be processed into plastic pellets using a squeezing pelletizing machine, or fed into a high-temperature cracking system for oil production.
