Common materials for making car bumpers

The commonly used materials for car bumpers mainly include ABS, modified PP (polypropylene), and PC/ABS (polycarbonate/ABS blend). These materials not only have good impact resistance, rigidity, and heat and weather resistance, but are also easy to process and shape, meeting the various performance requirements of car bumpers. The recycling process of car bumpers

In the recycling process of car bumpers, equipment such as double shaft shredder, suspended magnetic separators, hammer crushers, and plastic waste granulators are mainly used to achieve efficient and environmentally friendly recycling and treatment.
The discarded car bumper is first sent into a double shaft shredder, which is broken into smaller and more uniform fragments through strong cutting and tearing capabilities.
Subsequently, these fragments enter the suspended magnetic separator to remove ferromagnetic impurities such as screws, metal fragments, etc., in order to improve the purity and efficiency of subsequent processing. After magnetic separation, the fragments are then sent to a hammer crusher, where high-speed rotating hammers are used for impact and grinding, further crushing into smaller particles for the subsequent granulation process. If necessary, a hanging magnetic separator or similar equipment can be used again for magnetic separation after hammer crushing to improve purity.
Finally, the pure particles that have been crushed and (optionally) subjected to magnetic separation treatment are sent into a plastic waste granulator, where uniform plastic particles are produced through processes such as heating, melting, and cutting. These recycled plastic particles can be used to produce new plastic products and achieve resource recycling.
