Core differences of four types of feeding machines
| Feeder Type |
Core Advantages |
Suitable Materials |
Avoid (Unsuitable Scenarios) |
| Vacuum Feeder |
Clean, long-distance conveying |
Granules, dry powders, small/medium-sized fragments |
Sticky materials (prone to pipe adhesion), lightweight materials (prone to drift) |
| Screw Feeder |
Precise feed rate control, simple maintenance |
Medium-hardness granules, fragments (e.g., plastic pellets, metal scraps) |
Soft materials (prone to deformation/blockage), sticky materials (prone to screw adhesion) |
| Belt Feeder |
High throughput, suitable for large/thick materials |
Sheet material scraps, thick-walled pipe fragments, large-sized chunks |
Powder materials (prone to belt adhesion, requires frequent cleaning) |
| Vibratory Feeder |
Stable conveying, low material damage |
Fragile fragments (e.g., glass, ceramics), small granules |
Long-distance conveying (vibration衰减, limited range) |

Select based on material characteristics
Granular Plastics (e.g., PP, PE pellets)
Priority: Vacuum feeders (clean & efficient) or screw feeders (precise feed rate control).
Note: If particle diameter >10mm, switch to vibratory feeders to avoid crushing from compression.
Fragments/Scrap Materials
Small/medium-sized fragments (<50mm): Choose screw feeders or vacuum feeders.
Large fragments (>50mm): Use belt feeders directly.
Fragile film/sheet fragments: Vibratory feeders are preferred (gentle conveying to prevent damage).
Powdered Plastics (e.g., PVC powder, modified powders)
Recommended: Vacuum feeders (dust-proof) or scraper feeders (anti-clogging).
Special case: Lightweight foamed powders require high-negative-pressure vacuum models.
Sticky/Moist Materials (e.g., TPE, wet recycled materials)
Avoid: Screw and vibratory feeders (prone to adhesion/blockage).
Reliable options: Scraper feeders (forced conveying) or belt feeders (smooth surface, less adhesion).
