Both are possible, but dry coir shreds more cleanly and produces less dust. Wet coir is heavier and may require higher torque. If your process uses wet husk directly from dehusking, specify this when selecting motor and blade configuration.

What output size is needed for fiberboard production?

Typically 20–50 mm fiber length. Too fine and binding suffers; too long and pressing uniformity degrades. Screen selection and rotor speed control this precisely.

Can the same machine handle coconut shell and husk?

No. Coconut shell is extremely hard and abrasive, requiring a heavy-duty crusher or hammer mill. Coir shredders are optimized for fibrous, lower-density material. Mixing shell with husk damages blades and reduces output quality.
