How to recycle scrap aluminum?
Scrap aluminum comes from various sources including buildings, vehicles, computers, cookware, transmission housings, radiators, sheet, cast, clips, extrusion, profiles, window/door frames and more. Used beverage cans/containers are the largest components of processed aluminum scrap, with most UBC scrap manufactured back into aluminum cans.
In aluminum’s recycling process, the collected aluminum scraps are firstly shredded into small pieces. After size reduction, the aluminum shred will be fed into de-coater to de-lacquer paint or other materials. At last, the de-coated shreds will be melted in the furnace and further produced into ingots which serve as a raw material for making new aluminum products.
