90% Metal Recovery: Automated E-Waste Recycling Systems for Global Markets
Time:2025-05-23
Current background
More than 53.6 million tons of electronic waste are generated globally each year, of which only 17.4% is officially recycled. A large amount of heavy metals (lead, mercury) and toxic chemicals pose a threat to ecology and health. Through professional dismantling and recycling, precious metals such as gold, silver, copper, palladium, etc. can be recovered -1 ton of used mobile phones contains 70 times more gold than gold mines, and the recycling cost is 80% lower than mining. Meanwhile, the recycling of materials such as plastic and glass can reduce the pressure of oil and mineral extraction, and lower carbon emissions by 30% -90%
Electronic waste recycling
Electronic waste recycling process
1. Preprocessing and disassembly
Manual/mechanical disassembly: Separate hazardous components such as batteries and screens, and remove recyclable units such as plastic casings and circuit boards.
Crushing and grading: Use shredders and crushers to crush materials into 5-20mm particles for subsequent sorting.
2. Physical sorting
Magnetic separation: Extract magnetic metals such as iron and nickel (separation efficiency>95%).
Eddy current sorting: Separate non-ferrous metals such as aluminum and copper (with a purity of 85% -90%).
Electrostatic sorting: Screen precious metal particles (such as gold and silver) based on their conductivity.
3. Material Recycling
Plastic granulation: Cleaning, melting, and regenerating plastic particles for manufacturing new products.
Dust treatment: Collect fiberglass and ceramic dust for use as building material fillers.
